Last night, I made a post about my friend who got hit by a car a few years ago. I neglected to mention it happened at the traffic lights outside my school. And today, someone else got hit again.

That's sad man.

I thought i want to share my story as well. When i was 12 years old, i got hit by a car just in front of my house when i was fixing my bike's chain on the side of the road. I ended up broke my both leg and make my foot slightly misaligned. The doctor tell me because of the misalignment, my left foot is about 3mm shorter than the right foot. As the result i can't ride a normal bike anymore, i can't stand for a long time, i can't play badminton like i used to, and i can't play football like i used to be.

But because the man who hit me was a politician, he just walk away from it. No fine, no jail time, just walk away and continue being a politician. Thank god just after 1 year of the crash, he was arrested by the cop for a bribery and corruption case, and all his belongings were repossessed by the goverment.

Those guys who hit somebody on the road maybe can walk away from now. But i believe there's a karma for that.

Sorry, but there is no evidence for Karma. Good and bad things happen to good and bad people indiscriminately. Of course, if you are corrupted you are more likely to get busted for corruption - no karma there, just statistics.

But just because it seems unfair and we want justice to be served somehow, it doesn't mean that an unexplainable mysterious mechanism exists just so that you can sleep better at night.

What happened to you is horrible and I don't mean to be cruel, but I find true comfort in truth, not delusion.

Maybe you should start a petition to have some traffic flow control facilities installed in front of the school. Where I live they have narrowed down the street at the crosswalks and put a nasty bump in the middle - it never fails to slow the cars down on this particular spot.

Well, fair point. But at least i believe something bad will happen to me if i did something bad to another person. Maybe because i believe in god, and i believe he'll help everybody who suffer.

I don't want to get into a serious religious argument over the Internet because it's never productive. All I want to say is that my value system is non-religiously derived and yet I don't do "bad stuff", even though I know there is no "punishment" even if I did. It's a choice to be a decent human being and it's sounds more fulfilling that way.

At least we agree it's good to be good.

Well, i respect your choice. I don't want that either since for me, everybody can believe whatever they wanted to, i had no right push them.
